I called FTM support: I was told to Logon to Ancestry, go to settings, Disable the 2 factor authentication. AND IT WORKED! Hope it works for you as well!

I have exactly the same issue. No problems syncing in the past; same stupid message, and I can log into Ancestry on the web or phone with no issue. If you find a solution . . .

Same problem here! Not only have we been getting a 10 month runaround about a release date for FTM2024 (FTM2025?) , now FTM2019 won’t work correctly!!

Whenever I try to log in from FTM it comes up with this message: Ancestry user is authenticated. However, Ancestry does not open
on my FTM and I cannot sync my files for several weeks. Help! I have been syncing
my files for months previously and do not know why this is happening.

I have tried the updater download and this does not update it just asks me to remov my copy or test it.
